Learning to Hear God: The Power of Quietness
As distractions are removed and time is intentionally given to God, something profound begins to happen:
You start to hear Him clearly
You begin to recognize areas in your life that need correction
You become aware of things that were previously overlooked
Often, what God reveals may not always be comfortable. There may be:
Conviction of sin
Instructions you’ve been avoiding
Adjustments that require humility
But this is where growth happens.
When you get quiet before the Lord, clarity comes.
Many times, God has already been speaking—but the noise of life has drowned out His voice. Once that noise is removed, His guidance becomes undeniable.
How Faith Comes and Begins to Work
Faith is not manufactured—it is produced.
The Bible teaches:
“Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God.”
As the Word enters your heart and remains there:
Faith begins to rise
Your thinking begins to shift
Your actions begin to align with what God said
At that point, something powerful happens:
You start acting like God’s Word is true—even before you see results.
This is where faith becomes visible.
Faith Produces Results and Unlocks Heaven
When a believer begins to:
Speak like the Word is true
Act like the Word is true
Believe beyond natural evidence
They begin to experience:
A good report
Manifestation of God’s promises
Divine intervention in real situations
The teaching makes this clear:
Faith unlocks the portals of heaven into your life.
God is not unwilling to move. Scripture says:
His hand is not short that He cannot save
His ear is not heavy that He cannot hear
So what is the delay?
The missing component is often faith.
Faith Makes the Promise Sure for Everyone
Looking at Romans chapter 4, we see a powerful principle:
Faith ensures that God’s promises are accessible to all people, regardless of:
Race
Gender
Status
Background
Faith does not discriminate.
Faith makes the promise sure to all the seed.
This means anyone who believes can receive.
Abraham: The Model of Faith
Abraham is presented as the ultimate example of faith in action.
When God told him:
“I have made you a father of many nations”
There was a major problem:
Abraham was old
His wife had been barren
There was no natural evidence to support the promise
Yet God spoke in the present tense:
“I have made you…”
This reveals a key principle:
Faith is always now.
How God Operates: Calling Things That Are Not
God’s nature is revealed in how He speaks:
He gives life to the dead
He calls things that are not as though they were
This means:
God speaks from the realm of truth (spirit)
Even when it doesn’t match the visible realm (natural)
Faith requires us to respond the same way.
The Process of Manifestation
God’s goal is to bring two realms together:
What is already true in the spirit
What is not yet visible in the natural
Faith is the bridge between those realms.
When you believe and act on God’s Word, manifestation begins.
Against Hope, Abraham Believed
Abraham faced a situation where:
There was no natural hope
No logical expectation of fulfillment
Yet the Bible says:
He believed in hope
In other words:
He accepted what God said
He chose spiritual truth over natural facts
The Danger of Considering the Natural
One of the most critical lessons from Abraham’s life is this:
He did not consider his own body.
This does not mean he ignored reality—it means he refused to let it define his belief.
Today, many believers struggle because:
They constantly analyze their situation
They focus on medical reports, circumstances, and opinions
They rehearse natural limitations
And in doing so:
They become stronger in natural reasoning than in spiritual believing.
Becoming Conditioned by the Natural World
Modern life reinforces this problem:
Constant exposure to media
Endless conversations rooted in logic
Continuous focus on what is seen and felt
As a result:
We become experts in natural thinking
But strangers to spiritual reality
The teaching warns:
We are mastering the natural realm while neglecting the spiritual realm.
Where Should Your Focus Be?
The Bible instructs believers clearly:
Set your affection on things above
Not on things of the earth
This means:
Prioritize spiritual truth
Train your mind to align with heaven
Refuse to let the natural realm dominate your belief system
A Test of Faith: Where Do You Look?
A powerful illustration is given from Jesus feeding the multitude.
When faced with lack, Jesus asked:
“Where shall we buy bread?”
This was not a question of logistics—it was a test:
Where are you going to look?
To the natural?
Or to God?
Faith always answers by looking to God.
The Challenge Within the Body of Christ
One of the most convicting truths shared is this:
Many believers give God only a small portion of their time
They are spiritually underdeveloped because of divided attention
For example:
One day a week is given to God
The rest is consumed by the world
Then frustration arises when:
Faith is weak
Results are limited
Final Challenge: Returning to a Life of Faith
The message ultimately calls for a shift:
From distraction → to devotion
From natural reasoning → to spiritual believing
From passive Christianity → to active faith
It challenges every believer to ask:
Am I truly living by faith, or just existing in the natural?
Because at the end of the day:
Faith is the key to everything God has promised.
And without it:
It is impossible to please Him.
