Stand in the New Beginning

4 min read

There comes a point in the life of faith when you have prayed, believed, confessed the Word, resisted the enemy, and done everything you know to do. At that moment, Scripture gives us a powerful instruction: stand.

Standing does not mean that nothing happened. It does not mean there was no battle, no disappointment, or no loss. Standing means that after everything you have faced, you are still holding fast to God and His Word.

Even when circumstances make it appear that everything has come to an end, God is still able to bring forth a new beginning.

You can stand with a new level of faith.

You can stand with a fresh anointing.

You can stand with new connections and new relationships.

You can stand with new laughter and new joy.

You can stand with new strength.

And you can stand believing God for restoration in spirit, soul, and body.

The end of one season does not have to mean the end of your story. Sometimes what looks like an ending becomes the place where God begins something new.

After You Have Done All—Stand

Paul writes in Ephesians 6:13:

“And having done all, to stand.”

There are seasons when faith means moving forward, and there are seasons when faith means refusing to move away from what God has said.

You may not understand everything happening around you. You may not yet see the manifestation of what you have believed for. But you can remain established in the Word.

Stand when circumstances contradict the promise.

Stand when your feelings tell you to quit.

Stand when it appears that nothing is changing.

Stand when you have done everything you know to do.

Because your ability to stand is not ultimately based upon your own strength. Your confidence is in the faithfulness of God and the authority of His Word.

Believe God for Restoration

We should also believe God for restoration—not merely individually, but throughout the Body of Christ.

There is a glory and an honor that belongs to the living Church of Jesus Christ. Regardless of what has happened, God has not abandoned His Church. Jesus declared that He would build His Church and that the gates of hell would not prevail against it.

Therefore, we can pray and believe for a restoration of strength, honor, spiritual authority, and the manifestation of God's glory among believers throughout the world.

The Church is still alive.

The Gospel is still powerful.

The Word still works.

Jesus is still Lord.

And the Holy Spirit is still moving.

Hold Fast to What You Have Heard

The Word of God that has gone forth must not fall on deaf ears. Revelation must become application.

Do not simply hear the Word and move on. Take hold of it. Meditate on it. Speak it. Believe it. Protect it in your heart and allow it to determine how you respond to whatever comes next.

Whatever you have been through, refuse to allow the battle to have the final word.

After you have done all—stand.

Stand in faith.

Stand in the Word.

Stand in expectation.

Stand believing for restoration.

Stand ready for the new beginning God has for you.

A Prayer for Those Who Are Standing

Father, we thank You for Your Word that has gone forth. We thank You that it will not fall on deaf ears, but that it will produce fruit in the hearts and lives of those who receive it.

We thank You that after doing everything to stand and hold fast to Your Word, Your people will continue standing.

May they stand with a new level of faith, a fresh anointing, new connections and relationships, new laughter, new joy, and new strength. We believe You for restoration in spirit, soul, and body.

We also pray for the restoration of the glory and honor of the Body of Christ—the living Church—throughout the world.

We thank You for it all in the name of Jesus Christ.

Amen.
